We have received The Wellbeing Award for Schools

We are proud to announce that we have received an award for achieving the

National Standard for Positive Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing

It is a pleasure to share this and the feedback that we have received.

The feedback report included:

Strengths identified during verification:

The strengths identified during the verification were many but chief amongst them were:

1 the clear philosophy and modelling of the leadership of the Academy regarding emotional health. There was no doubting the conviction and sincerity of this.

2 the fabric of the building which is exceptionally well-designed and supportive of wellbeing

3 the very low, arguably non-existent, staff turnover – which both supports coherence and is indicative of a fulfilled and content staff

4 the excellent relationships between staff in the Academy which was characterised by mutual respect and goodwill.

Impact:

The School feels that the work on the Award has had the following impact:

1 it gives a very useful structure and process to take forward their work in this aspect of the Academy’s work

2 it has helped to re-focus the Academy’s work in this area

3. the growing reputation of the Academy as a good, welcoming, inclusive school has resulted in a growing number of in-year transfers from other schools, and rising rolls.
