The Duke of Edinburgh Award – Coming soon to The Laurel Academy! Following our passion to deliver enriching opportunities for our students, we’re launching the DofE award for Year 9’s. DofE is a chance to experience ‘life outside the classroom’ like never before, tackling skill building, teamwork and outdoor expeditions.

We’re bringing the DofE award to our Year 9’s giving them the opportunity to gain an internationally recognised certification, while building life skills never approached in a classroom setting. DofE offers young people the chance to go out and explore the world in ways they might otherwise never have chance to and gain an advanced skillset placing them at the top of the list for employment and further education.
